List of Universities in Faroe Islands

The Faroe Islands are a self-governing territory of Denmark located in the North Atlantic Ocean. There is only one institution of higher education in the Faroe Islands, which is:

University of the Faroe Islands (Fróðskaparsetur Føroya): The University of the Faroe Islands is a public university located in Tórshavn, the capital city of the Faroe Islands. It was established in 1965 and offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in a range of fields, including language and literature, history, social sciences, natural sciences, and education.

The University of the Faroe Islands is a relatively small university, with a student body of around 500 students. However, it is highly regarded for its research and teaching in Faroese language and culture, as well as in various academic disciplines related to the Faroe Islands and the North Atlantic region.

While there is only one university in the Faroe Islands, students from the Faroe Islands can also choose to study at universities in Denmark and other countries. There are also a number of vocational and technical education programs offered in the Faroe Islands, as well as specialized training in areas such as fisheries and maritime industries.
