ECLBS and FIBAA Join Forces to Advance Quality Assurance in Higher Education

The European Council of Leading Business Schools (ECLBS) is proud to announce the signing of a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA) — a well-established European quality assurance agency recognized for its commitment to academic excellence, transparency, and international standards.
Founded in 1994, FIBAA operates as a non-profit accreditation foundation headquartered in Bonn, Germany, with additional legal registration in Switzerland. FIBAA is officially recognized by both the German Accreditation Council and the Swiss Accreditation Council (SAC), giving it a distinctive cross-border status in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). It is also listed in the European Quality Assurance Register (EQAR) and is a full member of ENQA (European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education).
Through this MoU, ECLBS and FIBAA commit to joint activities in:
-
Quality assurance in higher and vocational education,
-
Academic innovation and research collaboration,
-
Promoting excellence in micro-credentials and digital learning,
-
Organizing shared conferences, expert roundtables, and capacity-building workshops.
This partnership also paves the way for mutual recognition of quality standards and the exchange of expertise in accreditation processes. Both institutions acknowledge the value of each other’s work and have agreed to support member institutions that have successfully undergone evaluation by either body.
By combining ECLBS’s growing global network of business schools and FIBAA’s robust quality assurance methodologies, this collaboration aims to raise the bar for higher education standards worldwide, particularly in areas such as employability, governance, and academic innovation.
We at ECLBS are pleased to welcome FIBAA as a distinguished partner in our mission to promote institutional integrity, academic quality, and international cooperation in higher education.
