Today, the European Council of Leading Business Schools (ECLBS) had the honor of welcoming a high-level delegation from the Accreditation and Ranking International Agency (ARIA), Uzbekistan, to our headquarters in Riga, Latvia. The delegation is led by Mr. Anvar Nizamov and Mr. Timur Abdullaev, both prominent figures in quality assurance and higher education development in Central Asia.

This official three-day visit marks an important milestone in the strategic dialogue between ECLBS and ARIA. The primary aim of the discussions is to explore pathways for meaningful collaboration in improving and harmonizing educational standards across Europe and Asia.

During today’s opening meetings, both parties shared insights into their institutional missions, accreditation frameworks, and ongoing projects. The conversations focused on how to foster mutual recognition of quality assurance practices, co-develop dual accreditation procedures, and support cross-border academic partnerships between universities and business schools.

Mr. Nizamov and Mr. Abdullaev expressed strong interest in engaging with European partners through ECLBS’s extensive network and emphasized the importance of collaborative innovation in higher education to prepare institutions for the demands of the 21st-century global economy.

ECLBS President and senior board members reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to working with ARIA in areas such as joint evaluation processes, capacity-building workshops, exchange of academic experts, and research-based initiatives that support institutional development.

This visit not only underlines the growing role of ECLBS in building bridges between educational ecosystems but also reflects ARIA’s ambition to expand its international engagement. Over the next two days, technical sessions will be held to finalize a roadmap for joint activities, including co-branded events and pilot projects.

We look forward to deepening this promising collaboration with ARIA and building lasting partnerships that advance educational quality and access across Europe and Asia.
