Amman, Jordan, May 2025 — The European Council of Leading Business Schools (ECLBS) and the Arab Organization for Quality Assurance in Education (AROQA) have officially signed a dual accreditation partnership agreement, marking a significant step forward in advancing international quality assurance standards in business and higher education across Europe and the Arab world.
The newly signed agreement establishes a framework for mutual recognition and joint quality assurance evaluations. Institutions that pursue dual accreditation through ECLBS and AROQA will benefit from a unified process aligned with European and Arab standards, enhancing institutional credibility, academic transparency, and regional relevance.
President of ECLBS, emphasized the strategic nature of the agreement:“This partnership with AROQA allows us to provide educational institutions a broader platform for excellence, merging European best practices with the unique academic needs of the Arab world. It’s a step toward truly globalized accreditation.”
AROQA, founded under the patronage of the League of Arab States and supported by the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization, is a leading non-profit association committed to raising the quality of education in Arab institutions by offering benchmarking, quality audits, and accreditation services.
This collaboration will enable member institutions of both organizations to:
Obtain dual accreditation certificates recognized in both regions.
Participate in collaborative quality assurance workshops and training.
Be listed in the directories of both ECLBS (https://www.eclbs.eu) and AROQA (https://aroqa.org/en/).
Improve institutional visibility and international recognition.
The dual accreditation model aligns with global standards such as the European Standards and Guidelines (ESG) and UNESCO's Global Convention on the Recognition of Qualifications, offering an added layer of legitimacy and trust.
Institutions interested in applying for this dual accreditation are encouraged to begin by registering as members of either organization and initiating the self-assessment process.
