The European Council of Leading Business Schools (ECLBS) and the Joint Kenya-Arab Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JKACCI) held a productive online meeting to explore avenues of strategic cooperation between the two organizations.
The meeting brought together representatives from both institutions with the shared objective of enhancing cross-regional collaboration in education, professional development, and economic empowerment initiatives. Discussions focused on how ECLBS, as an internationally recognized quality assurance and accreditation body for business schools and vocational institutions, can align with JKACCI’s mission to foster stronger economic and cultural ties between Kenya and the Arab world.
Key topics addressed during the session included:
Joint educational initiatives to support entrepreneurship, leadership, and innovation.
Accreditation and recognition opportunities for training centers and business schools in Kenya and Arab countries.
Organizing joint events, workshops, and forums to facilitate knowledge exchange and institutional development.
Supporting women and youth empowerment through capacity-building programs and scholarships.
Both parties expressed strong interest in establishing a formal partnership that would benefit academic institutions, business communities, and learners across both regions. ECLBS emphasized its commitment to promoting quality education and capacity development aligned with European and international standards, while JKACCI reiterated its dedication to facilitating mutually beneficial partnerships across sectors.
The meeting concluded with the agreement to draft a memorandum of understanding (MoU) and to plan a follow-up session that will define specific action points and collaborative projects for the coming months.
This dialogue marks a promising step toward fostering academic and economic collaboration between Europe, East Africa, and the Arab world.
