The European Council of Leading Business Schools (ECLBS) is pleased to announce the signing of a new strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA), a respected quality assurance agency based in Switzerland and Germany. This important partnership represents a shared commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and international cooperation in higher education.
Signed on June 12, 2025, the MoU outlines a broad scope of collaboration between the two organizations, particularly in areas related to quality assurance, micro-credentials, and institutional development. A central feature of the agreement is its bilateral recognition clause, enabling each party to recognize institutions that have successfully undergone evaluation by the other, strengthening mutual trust and international academic credibility.
Key Areas of Collaboration
Under the MoU, ECLBS and FIBAA agree to cooperate in:
Organizing joint events such as conferences, workshops, and roundtables on quality assurance and emerging trends in education.
Engaging in collaborative research and the development of innovative projects in digital education and micro-credentialing.
Sharing expertise, best practices, and policy developments to advance institutional quality standards.
Enabling mutual participation in key events, with opportunities for keynote contributions and expert exchange.
Promoting visibility of the partnership through each organization’s official channels, including logo use in line with communication policies.
This strategic partnership is valid for an initial term of five years and is automatically renewable for an additional five years unless otherwise agreed.
A Vision for Shared Excellence
Both organizations affirm that this MoU is not just a symbolic agreement but a working platform to build tangible, impactful academic initiatives across borders. With growing demands for transparency, innovation, and institutional accountability in higher education, this partnership is a timely and meaningful step toward reinforcing global quality standards.
FIBAA, headquartered in Bonn, Germany, with a strong operational presence in Switzerland, brings extensive experience in institutional and programmatic accreditation across Europe, making this alliance particularly impactful for ECLBS members.
ECLBS is proud to stand alongside FIBAA in this mission and looks forward to fruitful collaboration in the years ahead.
