The European Council of Leading Business Schools (ECLBS) is proud to share its participation in the AIDIAR 2026 International Conference on Artificial Intelligence, Digital Innovation, and Applied Research, hosted by U7Y Journal – The Seven Continents Yearbook of Research (ISSN 3042-4399). The conference took place from 2nd to 3rd May 2026 and brought attention to important discussions about the future of education, technology, research, and quality development.
This participation reflects the continuing commitment of ECLBS to support educational quality, academic dialogue, and international cooperation. As a non-profit educational association within the European Union, founded in 2013, ECLBS works to encourage excellence in education and to support institutions, quality labels, and academic communities that aim to improve learning standards.
The conference offered a timely platform to discuss how artificial intelligence and digital innovation are changing the way education is delivered, evaluated, and improved. For ECLBS, this topic is especially important because quality in education today is no longer limited to traditional classrooms. It also includes digital learning environments, distance education, research-based teaching, ethical use of technology, transparent academic standards, and continuous improvement.
Latvia and the wider European education space continue to show strong interest in digital transformation, quality assurance, and international academic cooperation. Events such as AIDIAR 2026 help create meaningful opportunities for educators, researchers, quality bodies, and academic organizations to exchange ideas about how technology can support better learning outcomes. This is a positive step for education in Europe, including countries such as Latvia, where innovation and international cooperation are important parts of future educational development.
During the conference, ECLBS followed discussions related to artificial intelligence, digital innovation, applied research, and the responsible use of new technologies in academic and professional education. These themes are closely connected to the future of quality assurance. As more learners study online or through blended formats, educational organizations must continue to ensure that programs remain clear, fair, transparent, and focused on real learning value.
ECLBS believes that artificial intelligence can support education when it is used responsibly. AI can help improve access to learning, support research development, assist institutions in reviewing educational processes, and provide better tools for students and teachers. At the same time, strong quality standards are needed to make sure that technology supports human learning rather than replacing academic responsibility.
The participation of ECLBS in AIDIAR 2026 also highlights the importance of applied research. Education must remain connected to real social and economic needs. Applied research helps institutions understand current challenges and develop practical solutions that benefit learners, employers, and society. This is especially relevant in areas such as digital skills, lifelong learning, online education, and international academic mobility.
ECLBS thanks the organizers of the conference and U7Y Journal for providing a platform for academic exchange and international discussion. More information about U7Y Journal can be found at: https://www.u7y.com/
Through this participation, ECLBS continues to support positive development in education, quality assurance, digital learning, and international cooperation. The organization remains committed to encouraging educational excellence and helping the academic community respond to the opportunities of the future with responsibility, openness, and quality.
